The Waverly Relay Invitational is this week. The competition will be held at Waverly High School on Wednesday. The bus will leave at 2:30 PM. Diving begins at 4:15. Swimming starts at 6:15.
It will be very hot and very loud. Consider bringing ear plugs or other hearing protection. The spectator stands are usually crowded so parents may consider arriving a little early. Students should bring homework, study materials, or something else to do. (Swimmers during diving warm-up/divers during swimming warm-up.)
Here is the timeline provided by Waverly:
- 3:15 p.m. Diving Warm up
- 4:15 p.m. Diving, first four rounds
- 5:00 p.m. Swimming warm up, session 1
- 5:30 p.m. Swimming warm up, session 2
- 6:00 p.m. Clear the pool
- 6:15 p.m. Swimming and Diving meet begins
NOTE: We need to provide a timer for the meet. If you would like to be on deck where the action is, please let me know.
