Saturday   At Oscoda Invitational

Thanks to everyone who attended the kick-off meeting!

This week we have our first meet. The Oscoda adventure is an all-weekend event. We have three objectives at this meet. These objectives are team bonding, allow our new team members an opportunity to gain experience, and to give our experienced team members a chance to gear up for the season.

We will leave on Friday at noon. The meet will start with diving at 10:00 AM on Saturday. We will return on Sunday around 12:00 Noon. Check the website for details.

We have a reputation for being strong and sportsmanlike competitors. When you watch the races all our students will shake hands with the swimmers in the lanes nearest to them as they finish their race. We would like to have as many DeWitt fans in the bleachers as possible. Students are expected to stay with the team and not visit with spectators.

We will be selling ads to businesses on Wednesday. All students should meet the captains at the High School North (student) parking lot at 1:00 PM. We will not have afternoon swim practice that day.

Success is not how high and fast you reach the top, but how high and fast you bounce back when you hit the bottom.

There is no failure save in giving up.

You cannot choose your battlefield. But you can plant a standard where a standard never flew. - Nathalia Crane

Surely God would not have created such a being as man, with an ability to grasp the infinite, to exist only for a day! No, no, man was made for immortality.- -Abraham Lincoln
